Within this 15 month project, the original story idea came out of what I was doing at that time in my life. Surrounded by technology and not making a great effort to get out of the habit of constantly being on devices. I have been exploring two kind of extremes, one filled with only technology and one with absolutely none and how a person can create a life balanced in the middle of the two. I chose baking as a way to represent a world without a digital presence as the process can be written out and each step is personally involved in the creation of a loaf. The same kind of thought process can be seen through my previous works as the stories stem from personal experiences growing up, every film has a fair amount of myself shown at a certain age in life.
